Don't Go
Like a damaged flower, I have lost my beauty,
With no scent to please, I have become unworthy,
My colors have started fading, I am the laughing stock of the field,
My stem is bending, not long until I fall,
I see beauty in neighboring plants, glowing in the sun,
they bring smiles to observers, fill them with joy,
they find their caretakers, leaving the field for a new family,
Oh how I wish I bloom like them, but I am no special,
You came around and chose me, despite all the beauty around,
You brought some colors back into me, made me worthy of pleasing,
You cared and loved me, I never felt so alive,
You cherished me like no one before, I longed for you forever,
My colors have returned, but a damaged flower can't do much,
My scent has returned, but others have delightful smell,
I am healing, but I can't radiate like others,
I am straightening up, but I am still bent,
I fear your distress, you crave for better,
You are the most important, to you I am not,
You've hurt me, you've made me cry,
but I will take you back a million times over,
Oh love you've broken promises, you pushed me over the edge,
you've threatened to dispose me, you've made me red,
but witnessing your hurt brings me guilt, you must stay yellow,
Your pain drowns out my sorrow, your heart is more worthy,
I am frightened you will slip away, please don't go,
you've seen all of me, I know I am not what you deserve,
you made this weak being feel joy, you made it feel valued,
please tell me you love me, because you have to.
