Identifying a game! Please help!

This has been bugging me for years, but having recently got back into playing PSX games I want to settle this once and for all so I can find and play this game!
I remember having a demo disc (that came with a magazine of some sort of course) that had some sort of fighting game on it. All I can really remember is that on the demo both a male and female character were available to use. The camera looked down from *almost* a birds eye view and the map looked to be on some hill or mountain or something with rocks to hide behind. The male could punch, kick and shoot out some sort of fire move, and the female could do the same but think I remember it being some sort of ice type move. All I remember is that it was a fighting game of some sort and that the demo was really limited so that's about all I could tell you right now. I think I got some kind of Japanese vibe with the characters, I'm not entirely sure.

I really hope for somebody out there that this is enough to somehow go by to identify what the heck I'm talking about. But I can't imagine it'll be easy with the amount of fighting games there were back then, and I'm sorry that it's so incredibly vague!

I hope to spend a good bit of time on this sub now I've found it too!

Many thanks and Happy New Year to you all!
