looking to buy specific driver boards, without what its to drive

I have a kit that comes with a couple things without any driver boards, such as an 8x8 led matrix, some 7 seg led displays etc, but no driving boards.

Some looking online and i can only find products that contain the boards AND the actual thing its made for. For example to drive the 8x8 led i found the MAX7219 chip seems best, but i cant find a good site that sells only that, all of them include the led maxtrix. i want only the boards because otherwise i will have 2 and only one driver board.
