Does this shorten laptop life?

Hello, I have an average laptop with i5 core and recently I've downloaded a game on it (Genshin)

The game runs only if I keep the laptop connected to the charger (otherwise it just shows bad graphics and lag)

As much as I'm enjoying the game, I'm worried that it is shortening my laptop lifespan as the laptop gets hot and fans get loud

So is it okay to play on the laptop or I'm better off not doing that?

Summary: is it okay to play on laptop while it's on charger?
