Ceiling fan trouble shoot

So when I bought my house all the rooms came with 3 light switches one controlled one of the outlets( far left switch), one controlled the fan( far right switch),and the other controlled the light(middle switch). When I had family over they decided to pull the cords to the ceiling fan and light in the room instead of using the switches. So now the light and fan only work with the far right switch. Is there a way to fix this? I google it and it only talks about how to wire it but it was already wired.
