The same song.
Yes, I truly loved you,
this I could never undo.
For our love has gone away
yet I love you just the same,
an enduring love of who you are,
not what the others see from afar.
Yes, it will always be true,
that I fell in love with you,
slowly, steadily,
inevitably, and then all at once,
like the beginning and end of our song.
Would appreciate feedback on how to deepen the impact/meaning of the poem as a whole.
