i always hated how much you hate your eyes

how you’d look away if you caught me staring at them too long

maybe that’s why i loved you so much

i loved when you’d over apologize

(though i think the door hit you some of those times)

or how you were so warm

always warm

i loved you for your simplicity

i loved you for your complications

it felt so easy. so right.

so much like the home i haven’t felt

to live like that, in a home for us
