How many oz should a 14.5 lb baby eat

My baby is eating around 32 oz of formula a day, and keeps falling on the weight curve.l (50% at birth to 9% by 5 months olds). This seems off, 32 oz seems like more than other babies.

Does the 2.5 oz per lb apply at this weight? By that calc he should be eating 36 oz a day, but I’ve also read they shouldn’t eat more than 32 oz a day?
