Lens Fitting post CXL $$$

I recently had Topography guided PRK + CXL. I am thrilled with how the procedure went, how healing is going, etc. I was referred to see someone internally at the center that did my surgery. The cost of the lens fitting (not the lenses themselves) is approx. $3,000. When I called my regular eye doctor, and received fittings referrals from other hospitals/offices in the area - it seemed as thought the initial fitting would be covered by insurance and/or less than $1000.

Can anyone advise on their lens FITTING costs?
