Does RuPay card work in Russia?

Hi, I’m traveling to Moscow later this month from India and would be staying there for the remainder of year. I read somewhere that RuPay card is working in Russia but can anyone please confirm? If not what are other ways to transfer money from India to Russia?

Any help would be a lot of help :)
