What are some great Drama TV Shows about older teenagers that are very relatable to actual life in the USA?

Hey there, I'm looking for specific TV shows and since I'm not that familiar with shows yet, I wanted to ask here.

I'm searching for some great emotional drama shows with older teenagers or young adults (they should be around 17 to 25 years old) falling in love and so on, and that are as relatable and realistic as possible for a typical local American life. Because most of these shows nowadays are way too mainstream and globally intended which is why they are very unrealistic and don't get that strongly personal (good example would probably be Stranger Things).

I'm looking for something very realistic to the actual American life (so none fantasy stuff), with deeper emotions. Preferably based on a typical small town with typical high school/college/party/alcohol stuff where you can imagine yourself being in it.

I was thinking of something similar to Outer Banks but more down to earth, because that one was too unrealistic and mainstream to me (and not that personal I'm looking for). Basically something like Twilight but without all the supernatural vampire/werewolf fantasy stuff.

Please recommend me as much as possible.
