How do you handle an unavoidable walk in the rain when the dog has no rain gear?

Thanks for the suggestions! I asked the owner to leave a towel out and it turns out doggy has a raincoat! I have an umbrella and an umbrella hat in storage (Not sure if the umbrella hat still works.) nearby I am thinking of grabbing before I walk over.
