Recommendations after Caremark has hiked their prices up.

I am feeling defeated and just really to get this out and ask for recommendations. I have been taking Azstarys and my prescription coverage brought my total to $40, same price for Vyvanse as well.

Something told me to check my Caremark app to check prices since it was a new year and I’ll be damned, it has went up to $374.24. I literally cried when I seen this and all brand names are barely covered now. My generic Focalin XR (the granules pharma brand is shit) that once was $15 is now $136.64! This is insane to me. What do they expect us to do?

If you have Caremark as your prescription coverage I suggest downloading The CVS CAREMARK app and checking the prices of your scripts so you aren’t gutted when you get to the pharmacy and hear the price.

Any suggestions on good generic stimulants? Many say there’s no difference but there is definitely one because of inactive ingredients, time release coating they use etc.

Update: Seems like my coverage didn’t roll over in my app yet because I checked on Saturday and my Azstarys script is back to $40 and generic of other meds are $15. Looks like they quit covering name brand Adderall and Concerta though 🙃
