FINALLY got a confirmed diagnosis 🥳 got put on the pill on top of the IUD to control pain. Now I’m worried about weight gain. Looking for advice…
In October I started with ANOTHER new OBGYN. She’s super proactive and we connected right away. I had a vaginal ultrasound done in November and they found and endometrium on my right ovary which was able to FINALLY after all these years non-surgically confirm my diagnosis. I was so happy to know that I’m actually not crazy and I can know for sure what causes all my pain flare ups, mood swings, bloating, and everything else that comes with having endo.
I have had a non hormonal IUD for about 3 years now and it has helped with periods but not with pain. My new doctor recommended in November we double dip with a low dose Junel to combat the pain. I have been noticing a positive difference but my appetite has been really increased lately. I feel ravenous all day and have more cravings than ever. I’m very scared I’m going to gain weight.
Just for some background: I am not a vain person that would put weight gain over my own comfort. I’ve lost almost 200lbs naturally and kept it off for about 7 or so years. It’s been a life long battle for me and I struggle with BED. I’ve come very far with my eating disorder but I can feel the impact this new BC is having on me. Any advice on how to combat this?
