Should I upgrade cpu( i7 7700, non k) if I were to upgrade my GPU to an rtx 3070?

I have an i7 7700 cpu and a gtx 1660 gpu. Wanting to upgrade my gpu and ram but just wondering is it really necessary to upgrade my cpu or will it be fine?

If so, which cpu should I buy.
