Help I'm afraid to take off my tape.
Tw: language that is aggressive about body image and general body negativity, mentions of chest tissue in unfavourable way, dysmorphia and dysphoria.
Edit: Its off now but i ended up passing out in the shower due to lack of sleep, food and the water was hot plus i was stressed from the tape. They seem ok im less anxious now but i definitely wont tape regularly, it was nice being shirtless for a bit.
I have been binding with mixtape kinda like trans tape for 2 days now but i am incredibly afraid of taking it off as idk how my chest will look after, what changes would have occurred.
My biggest fear of binding is that my chest tissue will begin to sag really soon after starting. My dysphoria doesn't just come from my chest protruding, but by having them hang and stuff, and like start sagging, i feel like my have body dysmorphia which is fighting against my gender dysphoria for which one gets to take priority and both prevent me from being happy.
Will my chest go back to sitting normally after two days of binding? Will it be drastically and noticeably saggier? If so how can i try to reverse anything that has happened? Like things to tighten the skin, or shrink them so its lesser.
After binding regularly with both binder or tape how long would it take to have noticeably saggier chest tissue? Can that appearance be somewhat reversed?
If i were planning on getting top surgery oneday this wouldn't be such an issue for me, just get the sagging tissue removed. Although i would love to have top surgery, or better yet no chest tissue in the first place, But because my chest tissue is something i will forever have i have to not go overboard or risk it, because idk what would happen if it did change it.
I am silently freaking out, I'm putting off showering and removing the tape because im afraid of what i will find soo much.
