VIP Treats Status

Every now and then, albeit rarely, when I am checking a customer out and put in their phone number it will say in bold beneath their info: “Status: VIP” and sometimes “Status: Standard.” The customers have no idea what it means and neither do I.

Do any of you know what this could be for?
