Processor specs needed for business use?

I'm considering moving a company I work with over to Chromebooks, since we do all our work in browsers anyway and are tightly integrated with Google Workspace.

What I'd like to know is, what specs should I be looking for in a Chromebook? My users often end up working with 20+ tabs open so I'm looking at 8GB RAM (our budget likely won't stretch to 16GB). If I was buying a Windows machine, I'd get one with an Intel i5 processor - is that necessary with a Chromebook or will an i3 or Qualcomm suffice?

Also, would welcome any insights from IT professionals who have moved their teams over to using Chrome OS from Windows.
