Can someone ELI5 on why the HDMI connector isn’t the same shape as the USB-C connector

Hey everyone, huge USB-C fan here. I always thought that by now we’d have TVs with USB-C ports instead of HDMI ports so it would be easy to mirror your phone to the TV or even charge from the TV. Even crazier is that if a USB-C cable can power up to 140W (?) then why not have the TV run off a USB-C cable and a 140W adapter.

If anyone has speculations/explanations on why neither of these have happened I’d love to hear it :)
