Genesis Part 2 - S.U.M.P meaning

I've heard that there is an underground ocean biome called the S.U.M.P under the Eden Zone on Genesis 2.

What does S.U.M.P stand for?

I couldn't find any information on it, so I'm asking you redditors. Was that explained somewhere?
