Help - one RAM stick doesn’t go over a certain clock, is this the Gigabyte B450M BIOS, or Corsair RAM?
Motherboard - Gigabyte B450M DS3H V2 (BIOS date 27/1/22, version F62) Memory - Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO 2x8GB 3600MHz AMD Optimised Memory CPU - AMD Ryzen 3 3200G
Gigabyte’s BIOS doesn’t seem to let one of the RAM sticks run past 2667MHz. When I enable overclocking on “DRAM Timing Configuration” but leave it on auto, one stick is stuck at 2400MHz. Enabling XMP only lets one stick run at 3200MHz (the other runs at 2666MHz), so I tried changing the “System Memory Multiplier” and forcing the ram to overclock to 3200MHz again only lets one of them change (other stuck at 2400MHz.)
I know the rated speed from AMD is 2933MHz for the R3, but I tried another set of Corsair Dominator Platinum RGB (2x8, 3200MHz) with XMP and it ran at Corsair’s rated speed. Is one of these sticks faulty, or is this just a BIOS issue?
