Bioactive Enclosure Questions I recently purchased Biodude terra Sahara for my leopard gecko and had a few questions, as I have never used loose substrate before.

How often would I have to completely empty and replace the substrate? And I found that to make the bioactive enclosure, you add isopodes, springtails, and plants. Would it still work if I only added isopodes? If I do have to add plants what types would be ok?
