What is your favorite brand of boot?

So my recent meme drew a significant amount of discussion about what boots are better than Docs, which I honestly didn't expect.

Given that I'm more of a boots and jeans type of gal (as many of us are) than a skirt and heels gal, I'm curious to see what everyone's opinion on the subject is.

Personally, I'd prefer a quality boot that will last to a cheaper boot that's lower-quality. But not everyone has the resources for that, so it's interesting to hear what options there are.
