NJ Post-hardcore band LF Members (FFO La Dispute, Icarus The Owl, In Angles Foxing)

Hey, we’re Alone In Stand, an emo/mathy post-hardcore band that’s looking for members to write/record with. I currently play guitar/sing/do most of the writing but I’d rather move away from guitar and focus more on improving my voice/general songwriting. I really want to work with members that have a passion for obnoxious/mathy shit but still love a catchy chorus and parts the tug on the heartstrings and whatnot.

We’re based in northern NJ so that would be ideal for starting to play shows but I’m realizing that my best options could end up being from anywhere (still wanna narrow it to the US though). Definitely down to write/record online with people while the live experience gets sorted out.

Atm looking for a guitarist/bassist. Not looking for a drummer but anyone that can write drums and is interested should still hit me up!

Criteria

-loves math rock/proggy post-hardcore/emo (bands like The Fall of Troy, La Dispute, Hail the Sun, Dillinger, Invalids, Circa Survive, and Foxing are some of many noteworthy influences)

-proficient at their instrument. A bunch of tappy guitars and odd time signatures await

-has time to devote to this project. If we’re doing this online i’d like to get on a call at least 3 times a week. As a heads up, I’ll probs be available most nights after 8pm EST (getting a new work schedule in late january so this time is my estimate atm)

-we’re 26 so in that age range would be nice

-located in the US

-most importantly, not really looking for people to bring new songs to the table but rather to help me really flesh out/play/record my ideas.

Not required but nice:

-band experience is a plus. Very new to this myself so I’m learning the ropes and any help on that would be great

-i work in guitar pro so having that is another plus

Here’s our links to check us! DM if interested! Or tell your weird math rock friends!
