Help for sever that will be managed remotely
Hello,
I am setting up a Plex server at my church to make it easier for our Sunday School teachers and curriculum writers to access the video lessons. Currently I am creating flashdrives for each classroom with the lessons on it and playing through a media player :(
We tried a pilot out using my M1 Mac Mini at home and everything went really smooth using Roku's in each classroom. This was an easy setup with me being the only one updating the server and having direct access to the server.
Now they would like to get a Mac Mini to put in the Church's server room. I would still be the primary person updating the Plex server but there may be additional people added down the line.
I was trying to find an easy solution to get files over to the remote server and would love this communities help.
My ideas were
- Installing and configuring Apple Remote Desktop. Everyone is currently using Macs so we shouldn't run into compatibility issues. I would log on and drop any new files into the Plex folders.
- Same as above but use Teamviewer for betting compatibility. Does this provide any better solutions compared to Apple's Remote desktop?
- Setting up a shared Dropbox (currently have the 1TB plan) and having syncing them to the Mac.
- Any other solutions? I am very technical minded but unfortunately everyone else isn't so I am trying to get a solution that would work for everyone.
Thanks!!
