when friends don't care about hurting your feelings

It seems like the closest friends can just spin around and start criticizing your very being and telling you they know what's good for you. I would never do that to them even though I might have judgments about them, I keep it to myself. I'm wondering when I'm going to find a friend that thinks I'm the s*** no matter what
