Question about taking input from a tkinter entrybox

I have the following piece of code which takes the input from a tkinter entrybox:

entrybox = tk.Label(root)

entrybox = tk.Entry(root)

entrybox.get()

This works fine, but when i use a variable instead of "entrybox", it doesnt work:

entrybox = tk.Label(root)

entrybox = tk.Entry(root)

e = entrybox

e.get()

Can someone tell me how i can fix this? The reason i want to use a variable, is because i want to take input from an x amount of entryboxes. This is the error I'm getting:

AttributeError: 'str' object has no attribute 'get'
