Help interpreting first in person interaction

I've (33F) been chatting with a localish performer (30M) for a couple of months via Instagram DM, and finally our scheduled aligned where I was able to watch him do his thing recently. I was going to say hi after the show, but he looked pretty busy and so I went to the store next door to wander around for a bit. He messaged me asking if I had left (didn't even realize he knew I was there), explained I was just next door, and met outside for a few minutes. He greeted me with a big hug (I wasn't expected it but it wasn't unwelcomed), we chatted for bit, and then he had to leave for his drive home. He then gave me another big hug.

He'll be nearby again this weekend, and when I mentioned maybe I'll go and we can chat for more than a min, he said he's be up for that. I'm assuming he is pretty interested/into me, but just isn't wanting to make the first move, which I have no prob doing. I just was curious on what Reddit also thinks!
