SALES TAX SCAM

For context, in my state our sales tax was reduced, and that started this month. So, on the day of the new tax change. We went to Walmart and got groceries. After looking at the receipt we realized that they charged the old rate and the new one on top of the old one ( it’s also the wrong rate.) I went back up to ask about it and they said they knew, that it was a glitch in their system. The manager offered me a gift card. I was like that’s fine but what about all the other people checking out right now?

what happened is the old tax rate was 7%, the new rate iz 4%, so Walmart was charging everyone 7% AND 5%(not even the correct rate) for a glitch for 2 days. With management Fully aware of it. And not saying a word to any customer, didn't post a sign, just Walmart casually pocketing 7% extra on everyone's bill who did not notice it.

Very messed up and corrupt on Walmart. Flat out scamming people.
