Day 30
Well.. sort of. I'll level with you guys; I had a couple drinks on New Year's eve but I'm not counting them. I make the rules not the alcohol. The way I see it a monthly slip equates to drinking 12 times a year, something that doesn't sound too bad really.
I don't intend on monthly slips though as literally everything in my life has gotten better in these last 30 days. I'm sleeping better, eating better, my bowel habits are approaching "normal" and do you think I miss the hangovers? I'd like to inform you I do not miss them. Even my mental health is vastly improved. I was getting to the stage toward the end of November where I was waking up every morning with a panic attack. Now the most I get is a bit of annoyance that I have to get up and go to work - nothing like the anxiety I was getting before. Lost a bit of weight from around the belly too (despite eating like a horse) which is nice.
One of my favourite things to do in the morning is log on to the reddit and read about some of the successes you guys are achieving, so thank you to everyone who posts for providing that!
Next stop 90 days? I really hope so! Maybe I'll see you there.
