Please don’t use clothing to dry off your cart…

Never thought I would have to say this as an employee of Costco but after witnessing it first hand…

PLEASE, FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, DO NOT GO TO THE CLOTHING SECTION AND USE THE PRODUCTS TO DRY OFF YOUR CART ON A RAINY DAY. ESPECIALLY IF YOU DON’T PLAN ON PURCHASING SAID PRODUCT.

We often have rags or paper towels available at the entrance of the warehouse for that purpose. You can also ask an employee if they have anything you can use instead. This way you don’t have to go and grab the current most expensive top we sell, a merino wool sweater, to wipe down your soaking wet cart. And then try and lie to the employee’s face after they call you out on it when you go to put it back thinking no one is looking. And then stutter and look like a fool when you realize they saw the whole thing and you don’t have an excuse. All while your young and impressionable child is watching the entire exchange.
