Is this a thing?
This is my first time ever posting on reddit but I have a question and I think I don't know enough to even ask a piercer. (Besides they're all appt only so I'd have to make an appt to talk to someone who may or may not have the answer, I think it's better to narrow it down here then talk to a professional locally when I know what to ask about)
I got my lobes done twice in a mall with a gun at 8 and 10 as so many of my fellow 80s babies did, and they have never really been right. I've always had issues with them getting infected and irritated. I have tried every type of hypoallergenic, piercing grade etc jewelry but no luck my ears would get hot and irritated after not long, so I gave up and haven't really worn anything. But I have some cute piercings in one ear that I'd love to get some custom jewelry for and be able to show off and I want to be able to at least wear simple hoops or something in my lobes.
Here is my 2-part question; first, I read that having them repierced by needle might help, is this something anyone knows about?
second; is there such a thing as like a small plug with a hole in the middle for normal sized earrings that I could put in my lobe holes? Think like if I were stretching my lobe holes but I used a very small one and could put earrings through it instead of directly through my skin. I keep imagining that it would be good because the earring wouldn't be touching the sensitive inside the hole skin? And it would be something I'd be able to keep in all the time to keep the holes open.
Regardless of the answers thank you for reading my novel, any suggestions are welcome.
