Should I try????????????

Should I try any of the junior novels, like are they that decent or essential to the main over-encompassing story? Like so far I’ve read Light Of The Jedi to Fallen Star (including Tempest Runner), & just finished Into The Dark. Also realising I should’ve probably read Into The Dark just after The Rising Storm.
