Any bars/clubs that play bass music / EDM? I’m a DJ looking for work here in Boston

This feels like a Hail Mary but I haven’t had much luck directly DMing venues and promoters over Instagram/Facebook, so here goes nothing!

I’m a 22 y/o producer (primarily bass music - think dubstep, trap, DnB, color bass) and DJ, originally from New York but moved to the Boston area over this past summer. I’ve been making music since I was 13 and DJing since I was 16, and in the past I have played different kinds of events from unpaid family functions to paid birthday parties; 4 years of frat parties in college and 2 nights at one of the local college bars in Worcester. I won’t toot my own horn much, but let’s just say I’m experienced and very comfortable behind the decks.

Since moving to Boston I’ve been searching for opportunities to DJ at places around here - going out to venues in attempts to meet promoters, dishing out texts and DMs to try open dialogues with people the scene, and even networking with DJs who have played in town before, but I’m still not finding any openings or opportunities for DJ work.

Since this is such a big city with lots of event venues, I thought it might be a good idea to ask around to try & narrow down the list, so I can focus on spots that actually play heavier bass music and contact people in that lane.

If anyone knows of venues or organizations that hold these kinds of events, I’d love to know. And if there’s any fellow Boston DJs out there, any tips on contacting promoters or venue staff would also be super appreciated! Thanks ✌🏾
