It is possible to live a life of ease and enjoyment but also have a career?

I [26M] am a few years into my career and have done fairly well on paper. The problem is I cant seem to shake the thoughts of how much i would rather spend my days somewhere else having fun, traveling, meeting new people and enjoying my time on the earth to the fullest extent. Sometimes it feels like I'm wasting what's left of my youth stuck behind a desk when in my soul I truly just want to break free.

I think its important to work to provide a future for yourself but has anyone been able to find a balance between this and and living a life you truly enjoy?
