friends spend too much money

so Im a student, and I love going out with my friends to experiences, dinners, boba, and such. but i find that my friends just spend way too much money and ive been trying to save but it feels too awkward to ask to do something "free" with friends. especially this one specific friend i have, we're super close so we hang out almost every other day but she always wants to get food or boba when we hang. which i love, but i dont want to spend $8 on a drink 4 times a week. there have been a few times we'd go together and i wouldn't get anything, but she always asks me to get something bc she feels uncomfortable being the only one eating/drinking. not sure what to do, i know i need to stand up for myself but idk how bc ive spent way too much this past month people pleasing
