FOMC minutes incoming

FOMC minutes later today will be scrutinized for any fresh policy clues. However, analysts do not expect any surprises or much new insight in terms of the rate decision at the first FOMC meeting of 2023 on January 31-February 1. The Fedspeak calendar is loaded with a number of Committee members on the docket. Of note, Fed Chair Powell will be at a Riksbank conference to discuss central bank independence on January 10 and will be joined by a number of other policymakers including BoE's Bailey, BoC's Macklem, and ECB's Schnabel. The week's slate also has Harker, Bostic, Bullard, Cook, and Barkin.
