Is there a product like heat trace for eaves/gutters, but sold in a mesh/net to cover more square footage? (Not a heated pad/mat)
I'll preface by saying that I know why things like ice damming happen and how to prevent it, but due to a recent spine surgery I was/am unable to properly prepare for and prevent the following problems until I heal)
The ice damming and buildup in my walkways has gotten so horrendous that I've been using a couple hundred feet of gutter heat trace laid out in patterns to keep the existing and new ice at bay. It's very effective but INCREDIBLY unwieldy and difficult to lay out in an effective pattern. If I could find what was effectively heat trace in the form of a net or mesh, I could tackle my problems much more efficiently.
Explanation: We got almost 4 feet of snow in 2 weeks recently. My neighbor was gracious enough to use his frontloader to clear the snow from my driveway. However due to my recovering spine I couldn't keep up with snow from building up and hardening around and on my roof/deck/walkways. On top of this, no matter what I tried (even JB Waterweld) I couldn't get some of my gutter seams to seal up. So when they DO flow, they leak massive ice stalagmites onto my walkways. Now much of the snow that fell has turned into glacial ice that can't be removed until spring melts it. I'm just looking for a product that can help with damage control for now.
