Should I pursue a research opportunity?

Hey everyone. My biology professor recently reached out to me and asked me if I would be interested in pursuing research with him for credit. So basically I’m being handed an opportunity on a silver platter. The research is not related to healthcare, I think it’s more about ecology. I wanna take the role to see what it would be like working in a lab but maybe my time would be better spent getting a second job for PCE. What do you guys think?
