What resources would you recommend for keeping up with the current state of the market (national & local)?

I'm taking my licensing exam tomorrow and I feel very unprepared. I've done a little bit of my own research outside of the course but that's it. I don't know where to begin in terms of knowing the current market, building a SOI, etc. I'm not affiliated with a brokerage yet so I haven't had any mentoring and don't know where to find these things. Any advice is appreciated :)
