Fully blind black run - best encounters?

Started my first ever playthrough of gen5 with a Black Nuzlocke, at second gym now with only one death.

Any advice on encounters to watch out for? Ex: avoided the gift Pokemon at the dreamyard in favor of a wild encounter, anything else like that through routes I should prioritize if possible? I'm fine with repels and such.
