NYU Application Help

When given the choice of submitting APs or Sat scores, I'm unsure what to do. I have 1480 (710 reading 770 math), 5 in AP Japanese 5 in AP Euro, and a 4 several others like calculus. My guidance counselor said to go with the AP scores but I feel like a 1480 is still prett good for nyu. Please help
