C2C Color-Changing Issue
Hello!
So yesterday I came here asking about how to convert C2C into a flat piece and the reason is, is that I have a project that I REALLY want to do, but the color changes are just way too much. I had a small square (18w x 20h) and when I counted the weave ins that I would have to do, there were 70 different tails I had to weave in.
I tried to do it just purely out of DCs, I tried to do it in the Box Stitch, I tried to do it in the Tulip stitch, I consulted every crochet book that I have in terms of stitches, I consulted google, and none of them worked. Some took more yarn than the C2C and others took less, but made the entire piece either too high and narrow, or too wide and squished. I have conceded defeat and am going to do this in C2C as the pattern was written...but I just can't deal with the weave ins. 70 on one piece is too much. I have to make three of this one square in total and that 210 weave ins alone on just those three squares, I have 5 other squares that I have to do with different amounts of repeats, plus a massive center piece that these boarder...and I just can't bring myself to do it. I come here asking if anyone knows ANY way to lessen the weave ins to something manageable or, if you can perform miracles lol, non existent.
The blanket is for me and it's a pattern I have been dying to get my hands on...but it's just so much that I just can't do it. It's the first time I have been overwhelmed while doing a piece and every time I look at this, I just bulk and can't do it. Any and all help is greatly appreciated with this, as always.
