Upgrading the RAM of my existing PC

Build Upgrade

Hi folks!

I have been thinking for a while to increase the RAM of my system (Ryzen 3700x - GTX1070, to be upgraded in the future to a 5800X3D or 5900X). I have now 16Gb HyperX Predator DDR4 3200 and I was going for another 32Gb it when I saw that it would be around 110$, but for around ~175$ I can get 64Gb and sell my old RAM. I got more ram, and I should have paid like only ~35$ for the extra 16Gb and still have two free slots.

So, I am between these two:

  • Patriot Viper Steel (2x32Gb) 3200MHz 16-18-18-36 - 175$
  • Kingston FURY Renegade (2x32Gb) 3200MHz 16-19-19 - 169$

Not much of a difference in price and better clock on the Patriot... the thing is, I have never user that brand. I don't plan to overclock o similar except for the undervolt I already have on my CPU and GPU.

So, is it good?

And thanks in advance for your time!
