Darkglass B7K and Axe Fx setup

Hey folks. I am a guitarist who just picked up a bass, and I am looking for tips for setting up good prog metal and djent tones. I ordered a B7K V2 to get that tasty clanging tone, and I am now realizing that I can probably get it to work well with my Axe Fx Ultra. I figure it would go in the FX loop somehow, but that is the extent of my knowledge. The pedal is in the mail, so I have yet to try it.

Does anyone have any tips or pointers about this set up, or just bass tips in general?
