Is it even worth coming back to Glasgow next year?

I took a gap year this year and one reason among many was the accommodation situation. Trying to find anywhere was hell, so I've been looking at private halls but it seems everyone in Glasgow is already fully booked. I don't have any friends left in Glasgow that I could look for a flat together with and wouldn't know where to start looking on my own/with strangers. Does anyone have any advice? I'd love to come back to Glasgow but it looks unrealistic if I don't wanna travel from Stirling everyday
