daith piercing question!

those of you with a daith piercing…how long did you wait to change yours out? i’ve had mine for about 9 months and still have the original jewelry in, but i want to switch it to something better quality (14k gold). the piercing is doing well, it occasionally gets a little crusty but no swelling, no pain. i just wanted to get some opinions on if i should go for it and just switch it to the better jewelry or not
