Best ways to make a new CM more “realistic”?

Hi all! New to sub, hope I’m not duplicating posts.

I play CM on and off, but started one recently with Palermo, just finished up season 3.

I’ve been playing on Leg. and only playing half a game and quick swimming the rest to try and get closer to realistic results.

Still bothered by some unrealistic stuff that I’ve seen on here (never had an injury, high level free agents easily available, high potential YA products easy to come by).

What restrictions/changes have you all put on yourselves and the settings to make your experience feel more realistic and rewarding?
