What are you guys doing to level up your reputation? +other questions

The reputation feels very slow to level up, so far the only thing that seems to give you alot of reputation is the pve battles. any tips?

Also does anyone know if there is a benefit to having a hammer or utensil in your inventory?

How are you all making money? so far i have the blacksmith and the goods store but I barely make money from the goods store.
