Nikolai
Okay... So I'm doing yet another re-watch, and I just watched the season 5 reunion.
I know a lot of you agree with me here... why are we supposed to think Nikolai showing up to give his sister's friends "advice" on how to be better people is cute?
Also, it's super inappropriate for this child to be telling his older adult sister that she should be nice to these men she dates and that she needs to get back together with Patrick... excuse me, Patrick (and a lot of the other men she dates) are MAJORLY mentally and emotionally abusive. How awful is it for this kid to be telling Stassi to thank her lucky stars that some abusive douche likes her...?
I'm not saying Stassi is a good person or that we should feel sorry for her at all, but it did make me uncomfortable to watch these scenes and see her visibly hurt reaction. I love this show, but they treat a lot of serious things like a joke and it's hard to watch sometimes.
I'm also not saying it's Nikolai's fault... he's clearly a precocious child who has gotten a lot of praise for this weird parlor trick and keeps doing it and has also probably been made to feel like he's responsible for being the voice of reason in his family. After seeing Dayna's (Stassi's mom) behavior is subsequent seasons it all makes a bit more sense that her children are so maladjusted.
